What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Del-Air Heating & Air Con?
Primary Responsibilities: Maintains the receiving, storing, staging, and distributing of inventory in the warehouse and outside storage areas, and maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
- Receive, unload and place incoming inventory
- Inspect product for defects and damages
- Use of forklift to move and stage inventory.
- Pick, pack and prepare inventory for shipping and installation
- Assist inventory control process including but not limited to cycle counts, tagging and labeling, tracking and notating with appropriate documentation or logistics software.
- Receive, store, and expedite returns of damaged or scrap inventory
- Assist in the removal of inventory from and cleaning of company vehicles.
- Responsible for special projects as requested by Lead, Supervisor or Manager and other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of warehouse.
- Deliver or pick up inventory to/from other warehouses, project sites, or vendors in company vehicles.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
- Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all Del-Air policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.
- Forklift certified, preferred
- Always obtain a valid driver’s license and able to meet FCCI auto guidelines to operate a company-owned vehicle.
- Eligible to legally work in the United States.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
