What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Del Bene Produce, Inc.?
Summary: Deliver high quality produce to customers within their specified delivery window. Provide excellent customer service for every customer, every day.
Ongoing Tasks
- Load Short-shipped Items: locate and load all short-shipped items for your route before leaving the warehouse each day.
- Deliver Product: deliver the product ordered by each customer to the correct location within the requested delivery window. Check orders for accuracy and quality at time of delivery.
- Shipment Paperwork: complete require shipment paperwork for your route accurately and completely each day.
- Daily Checkout: check out any collected money and all shipment paperwork. Ensure your truck is inspected and clean at the end of each day.
Required Skills:
- Customer Service: strong communication skills and comfort addressing customer concerns at time of delivery.
- Teamwork: work with other staff members and managers to complete daily tasks necessary for daily operations and the best-possible customer service.
- Driving Skills: maintain a Chauffeur’s License in the State of Michigan and DOT medical card; competently and safely operate a straight truck.
- Deliveries: operate truck ramp and deliver product using a handtruck into stops; check in all product with customer.
- Education: high school diploma.
