What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rectifying Line Technician/Operator position at Del Conca USA Inc?
Summary:
Operates Production Lines in accordance with established procedures.
Rectifying Line Technician/Operator is responsible for safely providing basic mechanical maintenance services for production and infrastructure systems as necessary to maintain process efficiency for the Rectifying Line Department.
Must demonstrate an aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving, as well as demonstrate basic mechanical skill and working knowledge related to required tasks.
This position will be for our B-Shift.
The pay is $18 - $19.60/hr.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Operates line to ensure efficiency and production standards are being met.
- Ensures acceptable levels of production are met and quality standards are consistently achieved
- Incorporate and maintain safe behavior into all activities and consistently comply with all established safety and health policies and procedures.
- Diagnose, repair, and document basic machine malfunctions in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.
- Perform routine scheduled, preventive, and emergency maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret technical documents including diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals
- Inspect or examine equipment, structures, materials, or components to identify causes of errors or identify defects.
- Adjust, align, replace, and repair pulleys, chains, belts, bearings, and shafts.
- Repair, replace, and maintain strainers, filters, and traps.
- Convert units of measurement from one measuring system to another.
- Maintain facilities including gates, guards, and other infrastructure equipment.
- Install, replace packing, gaskets and seals.
- Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift and guide loads.
- Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment.
- Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as inspection, cleaning, or repairing equipment.
- Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment and components to ensure that systems function properly.
- Work effectively as a team-member and coordinate activities with others as needed.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performance duties.
- Comply with safety regulations (OSHA and Company) and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Performs sample test using standard operating procedures.
- Visually inspects products, comparing product to original “sample” and works to resolve any discrepancies.
- Operates forklift as needed.
- Maintains work area in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
- Makes modifications to production lines as needed to correct production and/or quality issues.
- Alerts supervisor to any problems with production levels and/or quality standards.
- Maintains production and quality control logs as required by established procedures.
- Comply with safety regulations (OSHA and Company) and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated dependability
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier when necessary at times
Demonstrated foundational knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Mechanical systems and components
- Preventative maintenance procedures
- Troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous mechanical experience
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders repeatedly, and work on elevated platforms.
- Must be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity and temperature variations.
