Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide reference assistance to students in person, and remotely by using online databases and/or printed resources. This individual will staff the Reference Desk, provide outreach planning and implementation, and/or by leading Library Instruction sessions to classes and groups as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Science.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of the library reference interview.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of library instruction.
Ability to work nights and weekends when needed.

Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years experience giving reference assistance to students at the undergraduate level.
Three (3) years experience teaching library instruction at the undergraduate level.
