Job Overview
This position professionally and courteously answers incoming phone calls and welcomes guests to ensure an excellent customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Provides excellent customer service, in-person, by phone and via email, by answering questions from the public and works with frequent interruptions.
- Greets visitors and verifies the purpose of their visits as well as the employee they are visiting.
- Displays a friendly, courteous, and professional attitude in all dealings with all visitors.
- Utilizes the company's website in order to communicate up-to-date information.
- Maintains the reception area in a clean and organized manner.
- Operates a variety of office equipment including a computer, copier, scanner, fax machine, telephone, and utilizes various software applications.
- Receives, collects, sorts, date stamps, distributes mail, and prepares outgoing mail as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested when needed.
Promotes the District's F.A.I.R. values by creating a quality guest experience for both internal and external customers.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service, communication skills, and team player.
- Detail-oriented, organizational skills, quick learner, ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of office procedures and office equipment including computers and applicable software applications.
- Good judgement and professionalism.
Working Conditions
- Works in a standard office setting with fluorescent lighting and operating standard office equipment.
- Pushes and pulls file drawers.
- Works a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays when necessary.
Salary : $17 - $18
