As an electrical technician at Del Monte Foods, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
The Role
As an electrical maintenance technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading program logic throughout the facility to ensure proper and desired equipment operation. You will also conduct in-house audits of PLCs and programs to ensure that technological advances are incorporated into processors and data collection devices.

- Work on electrical maintenance and capital projects in a timely and efficient manner to meet set budgets and time constraints.
- C coordinate with supervision and management to maintain electrical parts and supplies at distribution center.
- Provide key input to management and supervision.
- Plant electrical maintenance needs for both short term and long-term applications.
- Training and/or development needs required to ensure electrical staff develops and improves upon necessary skills relating to a thorough knowledge of principles of electricity, circuitry, and power distribution.
Qualifications
- High School graduate must have completed courses in Basic Electricity, Electricity 1, Electricity 2, Industrial Electricity and troubleshooting, Industrial Instrumentation, PLC Programming and troubleshooting.
- Planning, layout, and maintenance of electrical equipment, developing and following electrical blueprints and specifications, working with electrical circuitry, power distribution, and understanding and following the electrical safety code.
- Design, Installation, and operation of PLC applications, including ability to fully program and trouble-shoot program application at the direction of management, and capable of supporting plant instrumentation, vision systems, Panel Views, or other HMIs.
- Works effectively with management, electrical parts and supply vendors, crew, and contractors to address maintenance, new construction, and both short term and long-term plant development goals.
