What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Specialist (Wal-Mart) position at Del Monte Fresh Produce Company NA Inc?
Purpose of Position:
This position will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the whole fruit sales program to Walmart Stores and Sams Clubs US coordinating weekly orders from the customer with DM Teams including but not limited to Product Coordination, Transportation, and Quality Claims Teams for achieving customer service objectives as related to facilitating strategic plans and reviews. This position will support the Walmart Sales team to ensure excellence in customer service, and overall customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
Accountabilities:
- Assist Sales Manager in the preparation of forecast requirements on a product by product basis for Walmart and Sams on a 13 week rolling basis.. Translate these needs into a production/shipping schedule for the various Dm Teams that will stage the program for success.
- Assist in planning the requested customer deliveries by communicating and implementing production needs (order entry), availability milestones, quality requirements and customer service standards such as On Time and In Full deliveries.
- Participate in problem resolution, audits, and identification of trends and system improvements.
- Process, track and resolve customer deductions. Solicit Transportation and shipping assistance where needed for a successful resolution.
- Coordinate order processing activities of Team members to ensure timeliness and accuracy of customer orders.
- Work with the accounting department on customer disputes, rebates, payment research, credits, customer maintenance, etc.
- Special projects and assignments as required.
Minimum Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited.
- At least 3 years prior experience in a similar role (e.g. customer service, project coordination, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Good organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
- Must be detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
- Able to work well under minimal supervision
