The Sanitation Team Lead performs a full range of sanitation assignments using supervisor or other higher-level technicians as guidance to perform daily assigned tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties:
General Overall Duties (1-6 listed below)
1. Follows and enforces employee’s safety procedures
2. Report any unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor or manager
3. Follow, Monitor, and Enforce all food safety procedures
4. Follows and enforces SQF requirements (Facilities, Equipment, SSOP, SOP, GMP’s, and ETC)
5. Follows and enforces USDA & FDA guidelines and regulations.
6. Follow Company Policies, Regulations, and Lunch & Break Policies
Position Area Duties (1-14 listed below)
1. Plan and coordinate daily sanitation activities to ensure cleaning schedules are met.
2. Promote teamwork and a constructive work environment.
3. Ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected for cleanliness.
4. Wear proper PPE and follow GMP’s and other company rules.
5. Uses food safety work practices’ ensuring no product is contaminated as consequences of conducting duties of this position.
6. Responsible for the general clean-up of the production departments.
7. When necessary, inform Supervisor of issues in the department.
8. Ensure that Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures are followed as required.
9. Take full ownership of assigned area of responsibility.
10. Maintains active working knowledge of all sanitation and cleaning procedures.
11. Ensures sanitizing chemicals, safety equipment, power equipment and manual tools are being used correctly and safely.
12. Ensures proper chemical handling techniques while wearing the proper PPE.
13. Maintains all buildings by washing walls, ceilings, floors, removing trash and disinfects all refrigerator units and cleans trash room.
14. Responsible for always keeping assigned work area clean and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to the department supervisor immediately.
Requirements and Duties:
1. Prepare cleaning chemicals solutions, wash sanitize surfaces and equipment using CFS washing station tools
2. Knowledge in (lock-out/tag-out) procedures and employee safety practices
3. Ability to learn (SQF Level 2 system) requirements.
4. High School/ G.E.D
5. Minimum 1 year experience on the field (Food Industry is a plus)
After completing an application, qualified candidates will be scheduled for a phone screen followed by an interview with the Sanitation Department management. Selected candidates will then be scheduled for an offer of employment and orientation!
