Inventory Specialist II

Main Focus / Essential Functions:

Ability to effectively navigate Packout- our ERP system

Ability to collaborate with others effectively in a Team environment

Process transfers and purchase orders in Packout

Scan and email Transfer Manifest to outside coolers

Email Passings to Customers as requested

Maintain Customer Daily Passing List

Match Receiving with Transfers

Fill all Transfers

Upload fruit into inventory

Put Outside Manifest Pack together

Answer incoming phone calls as needed

California Season

Enter all ticket weights of Daily Grower Packouts

Make corrections to Daily Grower Packouts

Create Packouts for fruit packed at Fillmore- Piru Citrus

Update Spreadsheet daily on boxes packed to Grower weights for Del Rey & Fillmore-Piru

Create Upload for fruit packed at Fillmore-Piru Citrus

Run Fillmore Inventory

Create packouts for fruit packed at Bauer Packing

Create Orders for #2 and L.O. Bins when packed

Process Fillmore-Piru and Bauer Packing invoices (confirm what they bill is what we packed)

Match Labor Invoices to Packouts

Add labor to Grower Packouts

Add pricing to Grower Packouts being paid out

Make corrections on Packout Pricing as needed

Submit final copy of Packouts being paid out

Run report to double check all packouts are included in the weeks run

Filling of all labor invoices & stubs

Create new Grower ID’s as needed

Create new Labor Contractor ID’s as needed

Assist with Driver Pickup Logs

Create Transfers from Fillmore-Piru

Sort Numerically and Box Pink copy of Field tickets

Boxing of all Transfers, Labor Stubs, Grower Check Stubs

Create new folders for files (Labor, Grower Stubs, Grower Packouts)

Secondary / Trained Functions:

Each member of the Inventory Team will be cross trained in all inventory positions in order to assist as needed.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Basic skills in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals with or without a calculator as needed based on assignments.
  • Money computation skills involving all denominations of American currency.
  • Skills in computing ratios, rates and percentages as needed based on assignments.

SELF MANAGEMENT SKILLS

  • Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature.
  • Ability to perform under the stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
  • Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload (i.e., busy and slow seasons).

WORK ENVIORNMENT

The characteristics of the working environment described here are representative of those encountered by an employee performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the tasks of this job, the employee is regularly in an office setting and occasionally in a warehouse environment. While walking or within the warehouse, employee is exposed to normal, seasonal/climatic weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and occasionally fumes or particles in the air, dust, heat and cold. The noise level in the office is quiet, while generally moderate to loud in the warehouse.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, or walk, possibly for long periods. The employee must regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, kneel or crouch, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, type consistently, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear repetitive movements of the arms, shoulders, and wrists. Vision skills required by this job include near vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

TRANSFER/ BORROW:

Employee is required to transfer to other departments within the site or transfer to another site location, depending on the work objectives. Employees will be responsible for their transportation to the site location. Site localization can and/or will be in Fallbrook or Vista. Transfers are mandatory when necessary. Employees will be notified the day before the transfer location.

TYPE OF POSITION/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a fulltime position @ 40 hours per week. However, the position may require less than 40 hours during the slow season(s) and more than 40 hours during the busy season(s), depending on time-sensitive work deadlines. Reliability and punctuality are mandatory. You should be able to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and some holiday as needed. Employee must be respectful in behavior and appearance. You must observe and comply with all safety and security policies and practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
