Line Lead

SUMMARY:

The Mixing Line Lead directly oversees employees in the Mixing area and carries out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees and directing work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure the safety of products through enforcement of HACCP requirements, Standard Operation Procedures, and GMP’s.
• Ensures that all company, customer, Federal, State, and Local policies and procedures are followed.
• Monitors and enforces adherence to GMP’s and specifications. Maintains high levels of sanitation, housekeeping, and product quality.
• Be a strong proponent of the safety and food safety program, by leading by example and holding high expectations.
• Prepares and maintains batch tickets and Panatrack scanning, pH meters and probes are in good working conditions.
• Allergens are being handle according to company policy to prevent cross contamination.
• Oversees recipe, batch tickets and PLC systems are identical to mixing conditions.
• Ensures that mixing process is detail and comments are accurate on batch tickets, utensils and packaging is intact and ready for use, if unsure to contact Mixing Supervisor.
• Trains and monitors employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity.
• Oversees daily assignment of responsibilities.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources. Maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Responsible for reporting all food safety and quality problems to Mixing Supervisor and Mixing Asst. Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma or GED

Experience: This position requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years Lead and Manufacturing experience helpful.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent Communication, people management and interpersonal skills is a must.

· Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

· Must be able to work and communicate effectively with team members.

· Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

RELATIONSHIPS:

• The Mixing Line Lead reports directly to the Mixing Supervisor.
• This position works very closely with all team members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.

The working environment is a clean, climate-controlled, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, but may require some outside maintenance as needed. Must be able to pass a drug screen as well as a criminal background check.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stretch. This job requires the employee to be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
