Unit Profiles : The purpose of a unit profile is to help provide an exceptional understanding of the unit.
Number of Beds – 347 bed acute care hospital
Number of Staff – 3 FT OT, 6 PRN OT, 1 PRN COTA
Patient Ratios – 8-12 patients per day
Type of equipment – ADL training kitchen, Tub and shower transfer training room, splinting equipment, ADL adaptive equipment, dynamometers, 9 hole peg, GMC cone test, shoulder arcs, theraband, dumbbells, cuff weights, weighted dowels, standing frame, lite gait, parallel bars, hi-lo mats, access to therapy gym on 5th floor with the equipment mentioned, etc.
EMR – Meditech
Permanent Positions on Unit Available? (Y / N) – Y
Must have : Texas OT License, Current BLS Certification
Preferred or nice to have : Bilingual (English, Spanish), Acute care experience
ADL Retraining, Strength, ROM, coordination training, Early mobility
