Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Transporter, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients from one department to another. You will insure completion of all preoperative actions. You will assist Nursing and Ancillary departments with patient movements and lifts. You will assist nursing staff with patient movements for the purpose of patient care and comfort. You will communicate effectively with hospital staff, medical staff, and patient family members.

Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Transporter, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients from one department to another. You will insure completion of all preoperative actions. You will assist Nursing and Ancillary departments with patient movements and lifts. You will assist nursing staff with patient movements for the purpose of patient care and comfort. You will communicate effectively with hospital staff, medical staff, and patient family members.
- You will transport the patient safely, assure completion of preoperative actions, and communicate effectively with hospital staff, medical staff, patients, and patient family members
- You will comply with all Administrative Policies and Procedures, Nursing Standards Policies and Procedures, and Transportation Departmental Policies and Procedures
- You will assist in all Nursing areas with patient lifts, transfers, and patients’ movements dealing with patient comfort and care
- You will be responsible for the retrieval of supplies and equipment needed to facilitate the transfer, safety, and well being of patients and staff
- You will be responsible to adhere to Infection Control Policies and Procedures
Job Qualifications
- Healthcare environment experience – preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish – preferred
- Graduation from high school or equivalent – preferred
- Driver’s License – preferred
- CPR certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire date
