Field Technician

Job Summary

Del-Tech Geotechnical Support Services, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join our team in Oakdale, CA. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for conducting on-site investigations, collecting and analyzing data, and providing technical support for geotechnical and environmental projects. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations, including soil sampling, drilling, and testing, in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

• Assist with geotechnical and environmental monitoring, including groundwater sampling, site inspections, and instrumentation setup.

• Record, analyze, and document field data accurately for use in engineering reports.

• Operate and maintain field equipment, such as drilling rigs, GPS devices, and soil testing instruments.

• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times.

• Organize field activities and maintain accurate records to support smooth project execution.

• Work outdoors in variable weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, when necessary.

• Travel to various project sites within the region as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Will train the right candidate who is eager to learn

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with field equipment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in outdoor environments and variable weather conditions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Comfortable working on uneven terrain, in confined spaces, and at construction sites.

• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
