As a Design & Sales Associate, you’ll play a crucial role in guiding projects from concept through completion and fostering lasting client relationships. If you enjoy connecting with people, have an eye for design, and are energized by building client connections, we’d love to meet you!
A Day in the Life
Every day as a Design & Sales Associate brings fresh challenges and rewards. Here’s a snapshot:
- Preparing for client appointments, following up on current proposals, and updating tracking systems.
- Coordinating with production and design teams to keep jobs and new bids aligned with company and client goals.
- Meeting with clients to discuss ideas, assess needs, and ensure their vision aligns with our approach to quality and craftsmanship.
- Collaborating with our design team on larger or more complex projects to bring client ideas to life.
- Driving new business by networking with potential clients and trade partners and identifying market opportunities. Attending trade shows, trainings, and conferences to keep up with the latest industry trends.
- Client follow-ups to assure our clients are satisfied and that our team is delivering the quality we promise.
What Makes You a Great Fit…Required Qualifications
- Sales & Client Relationship Skills: You have experience in landscape and hardscape sales, are skilled at understanding client needs and reading people, and have a track record of achieving and exceeding vigorous sales goals.
- Self-Motivated, Organized, & Detail-Oriented: You can manage multiple projects and timelines, manage your time efficiently, get back to clients and teammates in a timely manner, and meet deadlines.
- Foundational Design Knowledge: You bring a knowledge of landscape and hardscape design, including grading, drainage, and site layout, to engage clients confidently while relying on our production and design teams for assistance on complex projects.
- Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable using design, CRM, presentation, and project management tools to share your vision with clients and keep track of metrics related to goals and sales.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong in building and maintaining relationships with clients, team members, and trade partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design software
- BSLA, RLA, or similar industry credentials
- Familiarity with local market trends and geographic area
Work Hours and Flexibility
This position generally follows regular business hours, however seasonal demands, especially during peak landscaping and holiday decorating periods, may require flexibility. Occasionally, evening and weekend appointments will be needed to accommodate client schedules, and when required you will find yourself putting in extra time to meet a deadline or ensure everything is done just right.
