What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Clerk position at Delaney Chevrolet Inc?
- Complete of all title work documents and transmit to the state within the required 30 day submission period. On a weekly basis, review the Vehicle Sales Tax Schedule (54) to check all unpaid sales tax balances and inform the Office Manager immediately of any over aged issues and discrepancies. Review this schedule semimonthly with Office Manager.
- Daily complete all vehicle trade-in titles including vehicle inquiries for all Secured Power of Attorneys and track on the MV-27B all vehicle trade-in titles and mailing this to PADOT weekly.
- Weekly complete title applications as needed for out of state and lost titles.
- Resolve all title work issues with customers immediately.
- Order all title supplies, forms and automotive plates.
- At least yearly, attend title seminars to ensure that you remain current on the new developments in the title area.
- Inventory all new and used titles and MSO’s on a monthly basis and investigate any discrepancies.
- Respond to all lien holder requests via fax or mail in a timely manner.
- Request registration extensions for customers as deemed necessary.
- Train on Tri-VIN and daily complete title work on the system. Create and mail registrations to customers and maintain the registration inventory onsite of Tri-VIN materials received.
- Print and post debit transaction summary daily.
- Daily post journal entries in the computer system of the Tri-VIN dealer debit reports when received. Maintaining a book of all debit reports and journal entries.
- Complete of all wholesale title documents. Resolve any issues (ex. dealer titles, lost titles, etc.). Weekly sent Secured Power of Attorney and applicable fees to Penn DOT.
- Sort and distribute mail on a daily basis.
- Perform other duties and projects as deemed necessary by supervisor.
