Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at our import/export distribution center. The ideal candidate must have previous experience handling import and export documentation, knowledge of SLAM (Scan, Label, Apply, Manifest), and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and excellent problem-solving abilities to ensure a seamless logistics process for our customers. Spanish is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries and providing timely updates on shipments, orders, and inventory.
- Process and review import/export documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
- Utilize SLAM (Scan, Label, Apply, Manifest) systems to ensure accurate and efficient shipment processing.
- Maintain and update records in Excel, tracking shipments, customer requests, and logistics data.
- Coordinate with internal teams, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to resolve any shipping issues.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to deliveries, invoices, and service discrepancies.
- Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and submitted within required deadlines.
- Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Mandatory: Previous experience working with import and export documents in a logistics, distribution, or freight forwarding environment.
- Must be proficient in SLAM (Scan, Label, Apply, Manifest) for shipment processing.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs compliance, and trade regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a high-volume distribution or warehouse setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
