Here are some details about the position:
JOB SCOPE
Support the shop floor in assembly with a focus on quality, throughput and continuous improvement. Willingness to help in other areas such as shipping, testing, packaging, kits, RMAs etc. if called upon.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide primary assembly for Delavan products through the following activities:
- Work with Assembly Team to review daily dispatch and to identify daily production goals while accomplishing the goals in a quality driven environment.
- Assemble all components at various assembly stations to a standard bill of materials with an acceptable level of quality and expected volume of throughput.
- Cross train to become fully transferable between assembly areas.
- Be willing to learn other areas such as materials movement, kits, testing, RMAs etc. as needed.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude; use all air, power, hand tools in a proper and safe manner.
- Place proper labels on product, package finished product in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices.
- Test all product and set controls to proper specifications.
- Deliver completed paperwork to appropriate person or place.
- Move finished product to the proper location in warehouse; Operate dolly, pallet jack, or forklift in the loading and unloading material and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 1 years’ experience working in industrial manufacturing environment.
- Candidate must be mature, energetic, self-starter who is a team player.
- Candidate should be enthusiastic and willing to offer ideas for improvement.
- Candidate must have good communication skills.
- Candidate must be able to accept change.
