An Activities Attendant is to lead activities for resort guests to participate in.

Lead and conduct activities for children and adults (i.e., Kids Night Out, Kids Zone, etc.).

Monitor the safety of swimmers and pool guests.

Enforce rules and regulations of swimming area.

Take reservations for activities.

Supervise and be responsible for children age’s 4-12 years of age.

Lead activities for convention groups when assigned.

Keeping work area clean and organized.

Vacuum pools and sweep decks and clean strainer baskets.

Stock and hand out pool towels as well as launder pools towels.

Assists with Recreation facilities for guests i.e.: mini golf, bike, and other sports equipment rental.

Being able to instruct guest on resort activities and facility locations.

Rent out and process payment for recreational programs and equipment.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Recreation Mgr., Recreation Supervisor and/or Lead Activities Attendant.

Qualifications

Prior recreational experience preferred but not necessary

First Aid and CPR certification preferred but not required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The position is indoors and outdoors; can be exposed to hot and/or humid conditions working indoors or out and cold conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/to loud. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet and/or sitting working with guests on projects.
