To perform all general facility maintenance under minimum supervision in a manner which ensures the preservation of optimum quality and efficient production. Perform service requests and repairs as directed. Perform maintenance work for make-ready units as directed. Clean and inspect in building systems and report deficiencies to supervisor. Adhere to the company’s safety programs.
- Respond to immediate guestroom and management requests for maintenance service.
- Obtain and perform daily maintenance requests as assigned.
- Perform and document preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
- Do basic troubleshooting and replacement of heating/air conditioning units.
- Repair broken equipment, i.e., heaters, exhaust fans, kitchen equipment, etc.
- Complete all work orders for projects.
- Perform daily water readings and checks.
- Perform minor electrical repairs.
- Perform minor-plumbing repairs, i.e., replace water pipes, traps, faucets, etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Monitor the cleanliness and temperature of the pools.
- Adjust chemicals to pools and backwash filters, as necessary.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Performs general repair and maintenance using a variety of tools and materials; assists other employees in these areas
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Manager and/or Chief Engineer.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year in the building trades or previous experience as a general repair person in hospitality
- knowledge of/and ability to use all general repair tools (both hand and power)
- Basic computer skills needed
- Valid Drivers License
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand/walk for long periods at a time, occasionally sitting; use hands to finger, hands to feel; reach with hands and arms. Duties will also require the ability to potentially climb and/ or balance; and kneel, crouch and/or crawl. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The position is indoors and outdoors; and is exposed to hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
