- The Delaware Area Career Center Instructional Coach is responsible for building teacher capacity and their understanding of instructional practices. The DACC Instructional Coach is a learner who models continuous improvement, lifelong learning, and goes above and beyond to ensure student success. Minimum Qualifications :
Valid Ohio teacher's license or certificate appropriate for the assignmentExperience with instructional technologyMinimum of three years teaching experience (career-technical teaching preferred)Design :
Responsible for designing and coordinating processes for teachers who are new to DACC. This can include but is not limited to :New teacher orientationMonthly new teacher meetingsTraining and coordinating mentors for new teachersWorking with the various support departments for teachersResponsible for designing a variety of professional learning opportunities. This includes but is not limited to :Working with the Director of Secondary OperationsWorking with High School administratorsOversee Professional Learning Communities workResponsible for designing and coordinating staff development activities, including the Entry Year and mentor programResponsible for utilizing best practices for designing engaging student workSupport :
Responsible for supporting teacher developmentResponsible for supporting the new teacher induction activitiesResponsible for supporting teachers' achievement of goals by using coaching strategies that gradually release responsibility for implementing instructional practices to the teacherResponsible for supporting staff by serving as a thought partner by listening to staff and responding to their needsResponsible for finding resources that support teachers social-emotional competency and emotional intelligenceResponsible for supporting a variety of instructional and professional development initiatives. This includes but is not limited to :Local Professional Development CommitteeResident Educator mentor / Program coordinatorResponsible for supporting staff in the use of research-based instructional strategies, conditions of learning and assessment driven instructionTechnology & Data :
Responsible for working with staff and administration to analyze student data, diagnose instructional needs, and identify research-based strategies to close gapsResponsible for training for staff and students in the use of instructional technologyResponsible for taking instructional technology training learned from vendors and train staff and studentsResponsible for managing the instructional aspects of the district Learning Management SystemResponsible for running reports, analyzing data and advising staff and students on how to best utilize instructional technology in order to master learning objectivesImplementation :
Responsible for monitoring the implementation of the district policies and proceduresResponsible for modeling the implementation of an effective lessonResponsible for contributing to the development and implementation the district's continuous improvement planResponsible for preparing budget recommendations that enable the implementation of professional development objectivesProfessional Responsibilities :
