Delaware Back Pain & Sports Rehabilitation Centers is currently seeking well-spoken and responsible Medical Front Office Associate/Medical Assistant responsible for administrative support for the office as well as assisting our healthcare providers with patient care in our locations in Wilmington and Newark.
Job Type: Full Time 8:00am - 4:30pm

Delaware Back Pain & Rehabilitation Centers is a multi-disciplinary medical practice, which has been serving the community for 38 years. Our doctors specialize in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Interventional Pain Management, Chiropractic Care & Rehabilitation. Our practice currently has 7 clinical locations, and a Central Billing Office.
Our Front Desk Staff/Medical Assistants are an integral part of a multi-tasking team who are well organized, detail oriented, and work in a professional manner while creating a positive experience for our patients daily.
Position Responsibilities/Duties
- Greets patients and escorts patient to exam room
- Takes and records patient vitals and updated patient information
- Prepare patients for exams, as needed
- Collect samples for drug screening
- Facilitates patient flow within electronic systems (check in/out, schedule appointments, etc)
- Collect and post co-pays, and retail sales
- Documents all patient activity utilizing workflow guidelines
- Conducts insurance verification (as needed)
- Discharges the patient from office with appropriate information and documentation
- Assists with patient prescriptions
- Assists with cleaning exam rooms
- Maintains supplies within exam rooms and stock room
- Special projects/tasks as assigned
- May require travel to other locations, as needed for coverage
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required as on-site training is available.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Knowledgeable in Insurance verification
- Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
- Ability to contribute to positive team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
- Proficient keyboarding skills (35 wpm)
- Exceptional organization, inter-personal, and time management skill
- Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred but not required.
