What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intervention Specialist (Moderate-Intensive) position at Delaware City Schools?
Description: Plans, implements, and evaluates student learning experiences using a differentiated curriculum. Helps students manage behavior and make appropriate choices. Encourages parental involvement. Complies with state and Federal laws pertaining to the education of students with disabilities. Multiple positions available for the 2021-22 school year. Opportunities to support students with a variety of needs including but not limited to social, emotional and behavioral challenges, autism, and multiple disabilities.
Assignment locations include:
South-Western City School District
The Intervention Specialist will be supported by a coordinator of special education and will work with a team including a teacher assist, and typically an occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, physical therapist and other related service providers as needed to support the needs of the students.
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Licensure: A current, valid intervention specialist license (or equivalent) issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
