What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lower School Student Support Services Teacher position at Delaware County Christian School?
Delaware County Christian School is seeking a full-time Lower School Student Support Services Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The primary responsibility of this position is to work with students who are enrolled in Student Support Services.
Qualified individuals must have:
- An active and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- A Special Education degree or post-graduate work in Education with an emphasis on varied learning differences
- Experience working with students with mild to moderate learning disabilities
- Ability to effectively implement Accommodation Plans
- Ability to assist students with grade-level subject matter
- Ability to develop and implement strategies for individual student success
- Ability to support and collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators
- Willingness to communicate regularly with parents
Additional qualities of importance:
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students
- Cheerful and positive disposition with helping attitude
