Caseworker/Caseworker Trainee - Social Services

Responsibilities include interviewing, assessments, goal planning and crisis intervention with adults and children at risk in Delaware County. The role involves field work and concise documentation in a full-time position.

• Reviews existing case records and consults with agency staff to obtain additional background information;

• Works closely with other staff members and other service providers in carrying out the service plan;

• Recommends suitable foster care arrangements for children in need;

• Supports families to reunite with children in foster care as soon as circumstances permit;

• Investigates reports of child abuse and neglect;
">
• Operates personal computers or mainframe terminals to manage case data;
">
• May testify in court hearings or administrative proceedings and assist with preparations;

• Provides on-call coverage at night and weekends to handle social service emergencies;
