What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated Program Supervisor Emotional Spport position at Delaware County Intermediate Unit?
The job of Program Supervisor was established for the purpose/s of planning, developing, implementing, assessing, coordinating, and supervising program services. This supervisor administers the programs at the DCIU Education Center, located in Aston, PA. The DCIU Education Center serves students in grades K-12 with emotional and behavioral needs.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Administers assigned program area (e.g. designs, implements, directs and maintains program services; oversees program policies and procedures development) for the purpose of providing related services.
- Communicates with various stakeholders (e.g. students, parents, families, staff, school districts (public and nonpublic) and community agencies; chair and participate on committees; assist in the development and coordination of public relations and marketing; serve as liaison to member school districts) for the purpose of representing the Delaware County Intermediate Unit.
- Coordinates program services and provides oversight of program operations (e.g. long- and short-term planning; contracted services and providers; program evaluation and goal setting; preparation and management of program budget including various funding sources such as grants whole working independently with a variety of standardized methods) for the purpose of providing effective services to students and clients.
- Develops and implements professional development programs for staff (e.g. orientation; in-service) for the purpose of continually improving the program and services provided.
- Implements program services and provides oversight for the purpose of ensuring compliance with Delaware County Intermediate Unit board policies, administrative guidelines, division goals, PDE, and Federal, State and Local laws, and administrative guidelines.
- Leads Data-driven decisions while overseeing the gathering, collecting, collating, classifying, and analyzing existing information for the purpose of provide useful information for effective decision making.
- Maintains knowledge of current research and evidenced-based best practices for the purpose of developing, assessing and improving the program as well as maintaining compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
Minimum requirements:
- PA Supervisor of Special Education and/or Principal Certificate
- Master’s degree in job-related area, doctorate preferred
- 3-5 years of administrative experience
- Current knowledge of Federal and State Law, PA Standards and Regulations
- Proven strength in interpersonal, communicative, consultative, and collaborative skills
- Experience with curriculum, staff development, budgeting, and contracts
- Strong organizational, time management, and computer skills

Pay: $124,761.00 - $149,671.00 per year
