What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nonpublic Math Specialist (Long Term Sub) position at Delaware County Intermediate Unit?
The job of DCIU Math Specialist for Non-Public Schools delivers math remediation services to students in multiple grades and school settings.
Experience with collecting and analyzing benchmark and progress monitoring data to inform instruction is expected. Pedagogical competencies in the following areas of mathematics (numbers, operations, measurement, data analysis and probability, algebra, geometry) is expected.
Candidates should fully understand, and honor, school cultures based on various religious backgrounds and classical approaches to instruction. A successful candidate needs to embrace/seek professional growth opportunities to serve DCIU as an instructional coach to our non-public school partners.
Minimum requirements:
- Valid PDE Math certification/Elementary K-6 and Math 7-12 certifications preferred Special Education Certification preferred
- Job-related experience

- Ability to function independently Flexible and reliable
- Ability to work effectively and regularly with a computer and computer programs
- Willingness to travel to two or more (Delaware County) work sites each day
