Role Description
This planner will support long-range regional planning studies, collaborate with Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), provide technical expertise to county land-use agencies, and other duties as assigned. This role also includes contributing to policy, planning, and programming efforts focused on freight and aviation. Qualifications
- Transportation planning, project coordination, and data analysis skills
- Experience in conducting research, preparing reports, and presenting findings
- Knowledge of urban and regional planning principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, Public Administration, or a related field
- Transportation Engineering, or related field
- Professional certification in planning (e.g., AICP) is a plus
