What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Shop Supervisor position at Delaware Elevator?
IDEC Elevator Products, located in Riviera Beach, Florida.
Essential Functions Statement(s): Assist Manager with the following:
- Supervise Fabrication and welding departments.
- Support cab and packaging areas with materials that are needed.
- Control materials consumptions and support inventory control / count.
- Oversee that all machinery is being run in a timely fashion manner.
- Report jobs completed daily to meet company’s goals.
- Inspect that all materials produced meet the company’s quality standards.
- Support upper management with accident / incident reports.
- Manage the hours required on the area to complete jobs.
- Support and train all machine operators as well as new hires in fabrication and welding area.
Position Qualifications:
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Minimum 3 Years in Elevator Manufacturing
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Timeliness and Dependable
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
Skills & Abilities:
- Work safely in accordance with OSHA and company guidelines
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Must be able to understand a tape measure and basic math fractions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Self-Motivated, Team-Oriented, Flexible
