Position Overview
The Master Scheduler will coordinate production schedules, track job statuses, manage equipment delivery timelines, and ensure seamless communication across teams. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage dynamic workloads and shifting priorities effectively.
Essential Functions
- Develop and manage production schedules.
- Assign job numbers and establish completion dates.
- Address equipment delivery issues with Project Managers.
- Update job trackers and maintain live job status logs.
- Generate and manage payment reports by:
- Coordinating with accounting and customers to schedule payments.
- Ensuring down payments are secured before layout submittal.
- Confirming payment approvals prior to production.
- Verifying final balance payments before job shipment.
- Coordinate shipping logistics:
- Inform customers of job completion.
- Obtain shipping information and arrange delivery schedules.
- Prepare commercial invoices.
- Oversee direct shipments from suppliers.
- Track completed jobs in the warehouse and update job completion records.
- Communicate storage fees and send reminder emails regarding completed jobs.
Position Qualifications
- Experience in scheduling, production planning, or similar roles within manufacturing, construction, or related industries.
- Elevator industry experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and custom product workflows preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems or willingness to learn.
- Ability to interpret sales quotes and engineering documents into actionable schedules.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Adaptability to project changes and shifting priorities.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
