What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at Delaware Elevator?
Delaware Elevator Manufacturing (DEM) is seeking an experienced Welder, located at our Salisbury, MD facility. Majority of our welding process is flux-cored, dual shielded, with some MIG welding. The candidate must show ability to pass DEM Flux-cored assessment, administered within the first month of employment.
Duties include: Set up and operate common fabrication equipment such as Welders, Shear, Saws, Grinders, etc to weld components made of Steel. Work from sketches, blueprints, or verbal instructions, independently & as a team member
Qualifications:
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize work
- Must be able to understand a tape measure and basic math fractions
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- High School Diploma / GED – welding certification are an added plus
- Dependability is a must
