What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometrist - Full Time position at Delaware Eye Surgeons?
Busy medical practice that continues to grow and in need of another optometrist. Our practice specializes in cataract, cornea, glaucoma, dry eye and ocular disease. We have the Center for Advanced Surgical Arts attached to our office and use state-of-the-art techniques and treatments to care for our patients. We are a hard working team of 3 MDs, 3 ODs and 2 opticians along with a great support staff who work well together.
We are looking for a medical optometrist who is personable, works hard, communicates well and is caring. Great refractive and contact lens skills for regular & irregular corneas/ all SCL designs, RGPs a must and any scleral experience a plus. If you like interesting cases, challanges and a busy pace, we are for you. You will see a variety from routine, medical, pre/post-ops, cl fittings and emergencies. We keep up to date with all the technologies and have iTrace auto-refractors, meibography, specular microscopy, pachymetry, fundus photography, slit lamp photography, OCT for anterior chamber, optic nerve and macual, topography, visual fields and a-scans. Dr Smith implants standard, toric, multifocal and light adjustable intraocular lenses, corneal transplants and some glaucoma surgery. Dr Larned provides oculoplastic care and surgeries. No nights or weekends.
