Delaware Nation Industries/Indigenous Technologies is seeking a Cloud Engineer / Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s (AFLCMC) Propulsion Integration Division (AFLCMC/LPZ) in sustaining and securing the Core Engine Maintenance System (CEMS) hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS). This dual-role position provides cloud infrastructure, system administration, and cybersecurity leadership to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) and ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical Air Force mission systems.
The ability to obtain a security clearance is REQUIRED.
A Security Certification is REQUIRED.
This position is 100% remote.
Cloud Engineering & Infrastructure:
- Perform administration of production, development, and test environments in AWS.
- Optimize and sustain CEMS cloud environments in line with DoD best practices.
- Analyze system requirements and securely integrate system components to achieve/maintain ATO.
- Implement AWS native services for resource management and infrastructure provisioning.
- Support the implementation of ICAM solutions in DoD-approved cloud environments.
- Conduct system performance tuning, patching, and updates to meet mission requirements.
- Provide technical recommendations for infrastructure improvements, security, and cost optimization.
- Ensure 99% system uptime by maintaining high availability and reliability standards.
Cybersecurity & ISSM Duties:
- Serve as the ISSM for CEMS, overseeing all cybersecurity and compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with the IA/Cybersecurity team to manage POA&Ms, STIG compliance, vulnerability assessments, and remediation efforts.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 controls.
- Manage security configurations, audits, incident response plans, and contingency operations.
- Lead efforts to assess and implement cybersecurity policies and controls required for achieving and renewing ATOs.
- Guide the integration of security throughout the system lifecycle, including design, development, and deployment.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including Authorizing Officials (AOs) and Security Control Assessors (SCAs), to address security concerns.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or cybersecurity roles
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, security principles, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
- Familiarity with IAM/ICAM, system hardening, and DoD STIGs
- Proficient with cloud-native tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CLI)
- Experience with RMF processes, vulnerability management tools, and compliance reporting
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting DoD systems and obtaining/maintaining ATOs
- Knowledge of Air Force cybersecurity and compliance procedures
- Familiarity with ICAM integration in cloud-based systems
- Exposure to Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD methodologies
- Prior experience with CEMS or other Air Force propulsion systems
