The opportunity
Delaware North Sportservice is hiring seasonal Catering Attendants to join our team at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. As a Catering Attendant, you will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring that guests’ needs are met positively, efficiently, and courteously. The ideal candidate will be friendly, positive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesnt include any potential tipped earnings.

What will you do?
- Sets up tables for function by banquet event order
- Accurately transports food and beverages to guests on time
- Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing dirty dishes
- Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
- Monitors guest needs continually ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints
- Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow associates
- Breaks down events according to company procedures
More about you
- Must be 18 or older
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility, or club environment.
- Excellent guest service skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, including listening skills
Physical requirements
- Work is performed in a high-volume, fast-past environment.
- Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity, long walking, standing, bending, constant motion, carrying or lifting supplies, and equipment weighing 40 pounds or more.
