Delaware North Gaming is seeking a full-time Internal Auditor to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As an Internal Auditor for Delaware North, you will organize and conduct operational, financial, compliance and process audits at unit locations. What will you do?
- Identify, and clearly define, audit issues and root causes, recommend improved internal controls and business processes, and ensure that corrective action plans are developed and implemented
- Review and evaluate methods of internal control at unit locations while conducting interviews and gather information to obtain understanding of the flow of information in a process
- Test for compliance with corporate policies, federal regulations and generally accepted accounting principles; provide recommendations to minimize deficiencies
More about you
- Associates degree in accounting, internal audit, or finance preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must have a baseline knowledge of audit procedures with a minimum 6 months of work experience
- Entry level knowledge of accounting principles and evaluating internal audit standards, procedures and techniques is required
- Basic knowledge of internal control concepts, internal auditing standards, COSO, and risk assessment practices
