The Squadron Scheduler reports to the Training Operations Manager and Operations Officer and is responsible for coordinating the scheduling efforts of applicable student, active-duty instructors, and contractor instructor training events as directed by each syllabus and squadron training requirements. The Scheduler coordinates efforts with the Training Operations Manager, appropriate Lead Instructor, and active-duty scheduling personnel. The schedules include projections of aircraft and simulator availability, known key personnel absences, instructor qualifications, and other items that might impact student or instructor requirements. The longer-range projections are updated as changes occur and are the basis for the daily academic schedules, training device schedules, and the flying schedules. The Lead Instructor will review scheduling products relative to impact on contractor personnel. To ensure compliance with requirements and procedures, scheduling products are reviewed and approved by squadron scheduling personnel prior to publication. This position has a wage range of $81,000 to $85,000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the squadron operations department with documentation and tracking of all students, instructor, and appropriate training events.
- Prepare and publish training reports, attend training meetings, and assist in planning training activities.
- Consolidate corrected flight schedules and provide metrics as directed.
- Be proficient in applicable scheduling tools utilized by squadron personnel.
- Be thoroughly familiar with all training and readiness syllabi, standard operating procedures, and local guidance related to scheduling and training for students and instructors.
Qualifications and Experience
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must meet the following basic requirements:
- Must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule.
- Position may require candidate to participate in deployed operations to support customer requirements.
- Strong, proven verbal communication skills.
- Basic MS Office suite skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Must be a US citizen.
