PROJECT PLANNER
A Planner is responsible for laying out the framework to guide a project’s progression from initiation to completion. They identify and segregate different tasks that make up a project, setting milestones and deadlines, and monitoring progress to the end goal. Position supports Corporate functions, such as Program Management Office (PMO), Business Development, and various programs using Microsoft Project. The Planner plays an important role in ensuring a project is completed efficiently and on time, while staying within budget constraints.
Responsibilities
This position requires a strong background in program planning as it relates to the development and management of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and its alignment with industry standards for program performance management compliance.
- Develop and maintain Integrated Management Plan / Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS) for Corporate and project tasks, milestones and deadlines
- Collaborate with Program and Project Manager to record project status and formulate “Return to Green” strategies.
- Maintain accurate project documentation such as resource plans, change orders, labor, and expenses
- involve formulating schedules to meet internal corporate milestones and project tasks necessary to track performance, schedule and costs variances
- Familiar with EIA-748 guidelines
- Actively maintain cost, schedule, and technical accuracy by regularly coordinating with the cost team, CAM, and technical team
- Update the schedule monthly and ensure data analysis is completed and provided to management
Basic Qualifications
- Over five years of experience in Microsoft Project Planning in a leadership role
- Extensive planning/ scheduling experience using Microsoft Project and another comparable planning tool
- Experience in the application of integrated cost/ schedule techniques
- Basic understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Extensive experience developing the Integrated Management Plan / Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS)
- Must be a US Citizen, and able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance
- Note: No clearance is required to apply or prior to start
