Description
Duties include, but not limited to: manage data systems, network, and peripherals; manage web based training tools to include; GTIMS Admin, Learning Management Systems, and other software support tools; maintain full operational capability of the information technology infrastructure and digital property; perform the administration, troubleshooting, and support of all task order operating systems, servers and applications; maintain operational capability of daily, weekly, and monthly backups with the Base Network Control Center (BNCC).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Work with host base Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Manager as required to obtain certification & training to perform FSA duties.

Obtain proper certifications and training IAW DoD 8570, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program,
-
Ensure communication devices, workstations, servers, peripherals, and operating system/application software are properly configured for network operation, are on-line, and are available to users/customers.
-
Ensure required training is completed for all users.
-
Maintain and provide operating manuals.
-
Upload, test, and validate required system software patches and security repairs to systems.
-
Responsible for physical security/control of system components.
-
Responsible for the installation of all program equipment, connection of peripherals, and the installing/deleting of client level software.
-
Configure client level software, modify software configuration, and perform basic configuration management functions.
-
Define ownership of applications and determine who has permission to read, write, and execute.
-
Assign and maintain user IDs and passwords according to AFI 33-200.
-
Assign user privileges on the system.
-
Monitor the efficiency of the system.
-
Perform normal routine system maintenance (e.g. back up, archive data files and add software updates).
-
Serve as the system troubleshooter.
-
•Provide software application assistance for commonly used office automation applications purchased from standard Air Force support contracts. Include support to standard wireless office automation devices.
-
•Perform initial client workstation diagnostics and troubleshooting of client workstations assigned to them.
-
Assign, modify, and delete passwords and user privileges according to AFMAN 33-223.
-
Report security breaches and distribute security information according to AFI 33-138 and local policies.
-
Coordinate support issues with all agencies.

Validate computer equipment requirements.
Education and/or Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or other technical equivalent and 3 years of experience in Information Technology field on a DoD system, or a combination of education and related experience.

Minimum of DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level-II certified.
-
Experience in host and client/server, telecommunications and network migration and development, desktop computing, information system integration, hardware/software evaluation, information engineering and process reengineering methodologies are required.
-
Proven telecommunications and network analysis, design, implementation, tuning, and maintenance required.
-
Experience with the following operating systems, tools, databases, hardware platforms: HP-UX, HTML, Windows, SMS, MS-Exchange, MS-Outlook, TCP/IP, ISDN, FTP, Telnet, ORACLE, and MS-SQL are required.

NT and/or Windows server management experience (Active Directory, NTFS, GPO, IPsec, Exchange, SQL, WSUS)
-
Experience in design, test, troubleshooting Ethernet LAN and WAN networking and protocols (Layer 2/3 VLANs, VLAN trunking, IOS, PIX/IDS, VoIP)
-
Thorough understanding of large scale storage technology (SAN, NAS, Fiber channel, Tiered storage, zoning, LUNs, security, replication, backup)

Compliance with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper classification and marking of all information and materials, in any form, produced by the incumbent. Shall be assigned specific responsibility for Information Security by immediate supervisor or department management. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. Incumbent shall execute company non-disclosure agreement prior to access to any controlled information.

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Will be required to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints. Must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects.
Mathematical Skills
Must be able to calculate figures and amounts, prices, commissions, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable.
