PRINCIPAL ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST
Location : New Castle, DE
95,700 to $117,200 (Grade 110)

I. POSITION SUMMARY
The Principal Environmental Specialist is responsible for demonstrating and reflecting
management's strong commitment to the environment and safety throughout the Authority
by conducting audits and training at all facilities to reduce and eliminate workplace
hazards and ensure that policies and procedures are being adhered to by employees and
contractors. This position is also responsible for the management of all sites air quality
management and remediation activities, ensuring cost-effective compliance with federal,
state, and local regulations, technical requirements, permits, and oversight of remedial
actions. This position will ensure that the Authority is an appropriate steward of the
environment through the implementation of best management practices. This position will
report to the Manager, EHS.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to PFAS on a variety of projects,
including those supporting site investigation and remediation activities, product
stewardship, and compliance.
