Adjunct Instructor : History - Adjunct

Minimum Qualifications : Must have a Master’s degree in History; or a Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in History. Previous online teaching experience is desirable, but not essential. All faculty must supply their own computer equipment (specifications to be provided) and Internet access. All faculty must be willing to complete an online faculty development course and orientation prior to teaching.
Essential Functions / Duties :
- Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course Information sheets.
- Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
- Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
- Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and / or select course-related materials.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.APPLICATION DEADLINE : Complete application files will be accepted on a continuous basis and remain active for one year.

Qualifications : Work Experience :
Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting preferred for acute care settings.Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and / or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience preferred for SNF care settings.Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and / or rehab experience preferred for rehab care settings.Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and / or Emergency Department (ED) experience preferred for ED settings.Will consider licensed military RN experience.Physical Requirements :
Requires full range of body motion including handing and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.Requires stand and walking for extended periods of time.Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.Exposure to communicable diseases and / or bodily fluids.Medium Work - Exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Personal Protective Equipment :
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
