Start Date : 2025-2026 School Year The Occupational Therapy Assistant implements occupational therapy programs and activities as planned and directed by the Occupational Therapist. Professional judgment and clinical knowledge are used to implement individualized programming based on occupational performance deficits in the areas of personal care, student role, interaction skills, process skills, play, community integration / work, and graphic communication.
Qualifications :
- Associate's Degree or other degree from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
- Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for such certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or its successor
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license issued by the Delaware Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Knowledge or experience with data collection related to occupational therapy goals
