General Description of the Position
The Assistant / Associate Professor in the Department of Sport Management is a 9-month, tenure track, faculty position that reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Sport Management in the College of Business. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, this position requires teaching 24 credit hours annually, scholarly research or other forms of recognition, and service.

Essential Functions
The following are the functions essential to performing this job :
- Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Sport Management.
Develop courses in expertise and / or for interdisciplinary programs.
Advise undergraduate and graduate students, as needed.
Serve on Department / University / community committees.
Engage in scholarly research and activities.
Required Knowledge. Skills, and Abilities
The individual in this job must possess these skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities :
Excellent computer skills
Ability to teach asynchronously, synchronously, and hybrid.
Qualification Standards
Other Preferences : Demonstrated evidence of successful teaching in higher education. Previous practical experience in a sport-related organization is preferred. Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
