Full Time Dock Crew

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Full-Time Dock Crew Member to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for sorting and segregating products based on specific delivery routes.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong focus on accuracy and safety.  This is a Full Time position with variable hours, requiring a split shift working part of the time sorting and preparing shipments and the other part of the shift picking orders or offloading trucks. The shift schedule will be 12am Start  on Monday, with a 1AM start Tuesday-Friday.  Additional hours/days needed based on peak seasons.

Essential Functions:

1. Scan, sort and organize products on the dock according to designated delivery routes.
2. Assist with loading of shipments in a timely manner.
3. Maintain a clean and safe work area by following all safety protocols.
4. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
5. Ensure that products are handled with care to prevent damage during the sorting process.
6. Follow company policies and procedures for product handling.
7. Offloading Trucks and putting items away in their designated locations
8. Breakdown and sorting in the cooler as required.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching.  The employee must frequently lift/and or move items over 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

This position requires working in both a refrigerated warehouse environment and a company truck/van, with exposure to varying temperatures throughout the workday, including both indoor and outdoor conditions. The warehouse temperature is typically maintained at approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, the role may involve the use of office equipment such as computers, tablets, and phones, as well as standard warehouse tools, including hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

Qualifications

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in warehouse, dock, or logistics operations is preferred but not required.
2. Forklift Certification or the ability to be trained on the forklift preferred.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
4. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
5. Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs.
6. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
7. Basic knowledge of safety protocols and warehouse practices.

To be eligible for employment, the candidate must pass all pre-employment screenings.
