What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Grounds Worker / Maintenance / Laborer position at Delaware Water Gap KOA Campground?
As an Outside Grounds Worker / Maintenance / Laborer, you will be essential in maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of the campground. You will contribute to creating and sustaining beautiful landscapes, ensuring a well-kept environment for the organization and its community.
Need (1) Weekend Nights Part-Time (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday)
Need (1) Weekday Full-Time
Essential Duties:
- Assist staff with general duties
- Deliver firewood & store items to campsites
- Perform clean-up work on grounds including cutting grass, snow removal and trash pick-up.
- Maintain & monitor pool area
- Communicate and assist guests with inquiries or requested services
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction projects and general duties
- Load and unload materials, firewood, packages, etc.
- Digging, raking, mulching, weeding, trimming, planting
- Assist with light electrical, plumbing and carpentry
- Assist with installations and repairs
- Perform minor maintenance services on vehicles and equipment
- Assist and conduct with facility maintenance
- Provide proper upkeep of driveways, parking lots, and other grounds features.
- Shovel snow and salt
Skills Needed:
- Must have common sense and a positive attitude
- Experience using hand tools and landscape equipment
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs. consistently
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
- Self-starter
- Works in a professional and ethical manner
