Job Summary :
The Behavior Analyst will conduct behavioral observations and assessment of behavior within educational settings to determine function of behavior and design intervention plans. They will provide training and supervision to staff to ensure appropriate implementation of behavioral programs and data collection. They will design and monitor all data collection and present data and progress reports during all appropriate PPT meetings. The Behavior Analyst will oversee the clinical work of potential BCBA candidates working in delbrook educational programs. They will develop and review behavior plans, Functional Behavioral Assessments, data collection and IEP goals and objectives. Per the PPT they will conduct the Duties and Responsibilities outlined. The Behavior Analyst will conduct supervision meetings with any candidates to ensure adherence to all professional and best practice guidelines. The Behavior Analyst will report to the Director of Behavioral Services and program administrator to monitor adherence to all ethical and professional guidelines set forth by delbrook, the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board), and the Department of Education.
Duties and Responsibilities Per the PPT :
- Conduct behavioral assessments upon intake to determine functions of behavior and guide behavior plan development
- Develop behavior intervention plans to address problem behaviors and increase pro-social, replacement behaviors
- Develop and monitor all data collection for assessment of treatment
- Develop proposed behavioral goals and objectives to monitor treatment per the PPT.
- Attend all PPT meetings and present data and progress reports
- Attend supervision meetings and trainings with Director of Behavioral Services
- Train classroom and support staff on all aspects of behavior intervention plans
- Conduct on site observations of implementations, competency reviews of staff, and treatment integrity checks to assess plan implementation and guide staff training
- Organize and conduct meetings with classroom staff weekly to discuss progress and evaluate treatment
- Review all clinical documentation (behavior support plans, FBA, progress reports, etc.) developed by BCBA candidates to ensure efficacy and adherence to best practice guidelines
- Conduct weekly supervision with BCBA candidates to review clinical and professional guidelines of conduct
- Provide clinical supervision for BCBA candidates adhering to all guidelines outlined by the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board)
- Review goals and objectives written for IEP's to ensure appropriateness and adherence to best practice standards per the PPT.
- Monitor school-based restraint and seclusion data to assess need for PPT
- Attend regular supervision meetings with Director of Behavioral Services
- Provide administrative supervision to BCBA candidates within educational programs
- Provide any and all services assigned by Director of Behavioral Services or program administrator, potentially across any of the Academies and ATA Programs
Education, Experience, and other Qualifications :
The Behavior Analyst must possess a Master's degree, be a BCBA in good standing, meet and / or eligible to meet the BACB supervisor requirements, and be licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Behavior Analyst. The Behavior Analyst must have at least 2 years of experience developing Applied Behavior Analytic programming and previous experience supervising BCBA candidates is preferred. The Behavior Analyst must have experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, developmental disabilities or with behavioral challenges (ideally 2 years' experience). The ideal candidate will have previous experience supervising others within work settings (educational or human services preferred). They must have good organizational and interpersonal skills. Current certification in First-Aid, CPR, and PMT required (provided upon hire). They will engage in credentialing through insurance companies and other funding agencies, as necessary, upon application.
