We are seeking a Tax Accountant with 3 plus years’ experience to join our team. The individual will be responsible for assisting the Tax team manage multiple tax engagements, deliver quality client and prepare accurate & timely individual tax services. This position, has significant growth potential, requires strong technical ability combined with good interpersonal communication skills to deliver quality service for our clients. Experience with UltraTax and SurePrep a plus.
The position would be based in- office at our Leesburg or Frederick office locations, or could be a hybrid split with a few days required in office.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and Review a variety of Individual tax returns in compliance with laws and regulations, with heavy workload during busy season (January to April 15)
- Build client relationships to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
- Assist the tax team with communications to clients regarding tax matters
- Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare accurate work papers for tax engagements
- Assist with tax and financial planning for individuals
- At least 3 years of public accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
- CPA license a must
- Understanding of individual tax and related knowledge
- Ability to work independently
- Analytical, communication and research skills
- Detail oriented
- Self-Motivated
- Strong analytical and writing skills required
- Comprehensive understanding of data analysis techniques
- Creative problem solving and research skills
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
