Senior Tax Accountant

Are you a skilled tax professional with experience in tax preparation, client management, and staff supervision? DeLeon & Stang is looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team and play a key role in managing client engagements, reviewing tax returns, and mentoring staff alongside our Tax Manager.

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and review individual (1040) and business tax returns (S Corp, C Corp, Partnership, Sole Proprietorship).
- Manage client engagements, ensuring high-quality service and operational efficiency.
- Assist the Tax Manager in supervising staff, reviewing work, and providing training and mentorship.
- Support tax planning and consulting for individuals and businesses.
- Take ownership of client relationships, proactively communicating and addressing tax matters.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and collections for assigned clients.
- Stay up to date on tax regulations and industry trends, attending professional development sessions.
What You Bring:
✔ 3 years of experience at a regional CPA firm, with a strong focus on tax preparation and review.
✔ Experience managing multiple client engagements and deadlines.
✔ Strong technical tax knowledge and ability to provide consulting support.
✔ At least 1 year of experience supervising or mentoring staff.
✔ CPA or EA certification preferred (or actively pursuing).
✔ Excellent communication, organization, and client service skills.
