Title: Lawn Care & Landscaping Trailer Driver

Position: Full-time Hourly (Seasonal: March-December)

Pay Range: $18-20 hourly

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Reports to: Owner

Job Summary: The Driver is responsible for working along side, overseeing and leading a team of lawn care crew members to optimally deliver high-quality lawn care services to clients. This role combines technical expertise in lawn maintenance, leadership skills, and excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Provide direction, guidance, and supervision to a team of lawn care crew members, fostering a positive and professional working environment. Effectively delegate tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure the team meets or exceeds productivity and quality standards.
• Customer Service: Ensure that any communication and interaction of crew with clients on their property is professional and courteous. Regularly communicate with owner on customer’s needs, queries, complaints, and keep them informed about any service schedule changes and recommendations.
• Lawn Care Operations: Oversee and participate in various lawn care tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, fertilizing, seeding, and weed control, to maintain lawns to the highest standards. Ensure compliance with company protocols, industry guidelines, and safety procedures to ensure the well-being of team members and clients.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs of the team members and provide guidance in best practices, equipment handling, safety protocols, and customer service skills. Conduct regular training sessions, toolbox talks, and performance reviews to enhance team competencies and ensure consistent service delivery.
• Equipment Maintenance and Inventory: Collaborate with owner to ensure the proper maintenance and operation of lawn care tools, equipment, and vehicles. Coordinate with owner to order necessary equipment and maintain inventory levels to support efficient operations.
• Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce safety procedures and protocols to minimize accidents and injuries. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and environmental standards related to lawn care operations.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of completed work, ensuring adherence to quality standards and client requirements. Take corrective actions as needed and document any issues or discrepancies for further analysis with the owner.
• Administrative Tasks: Utilize company software and technology tools to track work schedules and progress, record keeping, update client information, and generate reports as required.
• Company Vehicle: Follow assigned routes and schedules, ensuring crew and vehicle stay on daily schedule. Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, ensuring it is presentable at all times. Follow proper procedures for the safe loading and unloading of materials or equipment onto the vehicle.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in lawn care or landscaping, including proficiency in using lawn care tools and equipment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role, demonstrating the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
• Strong knowledge of best practices in lawn maintenance and plant care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Experience driving a trailer.
• Physical fitness and endurance to perform manual labor in various weather conditions including extreme heat.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Weekends as needed
