Delfingen’s Niagara Falls, New York location is currently seeking a Production Operator for 1st shift (6:30 am to 3:00 pm). This role is responsible for assisting in documentation of set-up procedures, quality checks and complete and accurate documentation of process and production as specified on the shop order, work instruction, and quality procedure to ensure on-time delivery to both internal and external customers, cost avoidance, and compliance with all Delfingen, state and local safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Follow shop order instructions to ensure accurate production rates, materials, product and quantity.
- Tending and verification of parts as they are produced by the process, completing all required inspections.
- Verify quality of production and processes throughout the shift and neatly and accurately document all verifications.
- Make adjustments to machines and processes with guidance from the Shift Leader or as outlined in work instructions.
- Gain technical expertise through hands-on experience on the line and involvement with the Shift Leader.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A strong work ethic with excellent attendance and punctuality is essential
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to process new information (trainable)
- General math knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Self motivated and able to work on own with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills with coworkers and supervisors
- Ability to perform well in multi-task environment
- Flexibility in work schedule depending on company needs
