What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Warehouse Team Leader position at DelGrosso's Amusement Park?
Education & Qualifications: Must be at least 17 years old. Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED preferred. Valid PA driver’s license at age 17 is preferred, age 18 and over is required. A minimum of 1 to 3 year of experience within the department and previous management and/or leadership experience is strongly preferred. Must have ability to perform basic math, be organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures. Must be able to in various environmental conditions and be able to withstand 0 degree temperatures for moderate periods of time when working in freezers. Must maintain neat appearance at all times and be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
Essential Functions:
- Assists with management of the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse
- Abides by and enforces all company and department policies and procedures, documenting any issues with compliance.
- Works with and or in the absence of Warehouse Manager in the receiving, storing, transportation, rotation, labeling and paperwork associated with warehouse deliveries and products.
- Answers the Warehouse phone and two way radio to accurately take orders and delegate tasks effectively to the team.
- Assist in inventory control by issuing out inventory, completing physical counts, and managing the rotation of perishable items.
- Responsible for maintaining clean and organized warehouse locations.
- Performs warehouse opening and or closing duties and other jobs related as assigned
- Retrieve and deliver inventory to food stand locations according to inventory order form.
- Establish job assignments for all staff and monitor for follow through to maintain cleanliness of the entire facility, in accordance with child labor laws.
- Complete and document training of staff on proper department policies and procedures, as directed.
- Completes schedules, reviews and approves time sheets for payroll in absence of department manager.
- Reports all disciplinary issues, employee concerns, and major issues to department manager for action and follow through.
- Assists department manager in completing disciplinary action and performance reviews for team members as directed.
- Operate golf carts in accordance with company and department policies and procedures to transport food/beverage inventory and necessary equipment throughout park, as directed.
- Must be able to work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, and cold
Inventory:
- Receive Food, Beverage, and Paper inventory orders delivered to the park.
- Check in all items listed on invoice
- Visually check the condition of the products being delivered for any defects. If defects are found refuse inventory and request the delivery driver to modify the invoice.
- Receive, Log, and deliver all UPS and Fed Ex delivers to locations on the premises.
- Enter deliveries into inventory via inventory management system.
- Assist with training of Warehouse Team Members and Leaders on proper inventory control operations.
- Communicate with Kitchen, Food Service, and Warehouse teams inventory questions and requests regarding daily inventory order forms.
- Operates golf carts and other equipment such as dolly carts and platform trucks according to company procedure and policies.
- Complete physical counts of inventoried items when requested.
- Ensures all inventory is properly signed out and reduced in inventory management system.
- Assist in training Warehouse Team Members and Leaders in proper signing out procedures as well as stand stocking procedures.
