General Responsibilities
- Punctuality and Dependability: Show up on time and be reliable for all assigned/confirmed shifts.
- Patient Accountability: Take full responsibility for each assigned patient under the supervision of the supervising RN.
- Medication Knowledge: Stay informed about all medications, reactions, and dosage requirements for your patient.
- Communication: Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with staff, patients, and families.
- Continuous Learning: Engage in educational tools and in-services to expand your knowledge of diseases, age-specific care, and best practices.
- Direct Patient Care: Provide thorough, compassionate care and report any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising care team to ensure comfort and safety.
- Collaborative Care: Assist physicians and healthcare professionals in caring for the patient, providing detailed reports at the end of each shift to the oncoming nurse.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Support the care team with additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Trach/Vent Experience is a must.
- Proven Hands-on Care Experience in Home Care and Patient Assessment.
- Excellent Communication Skills for effective patient and team interactions.
- Strong Customer Service Skills to maintain a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
